Megger DCM300E Earth Leakage Clampmeter AC

An excellent high resolution AC clamp meter for examining annoyingly tripping RCDs is the Avo/Megger DCM300E. With a dedicated 30 mA range and resolution down to 10 µA, the DCM300E is primarily intended to examine earth leakage currents. However, it can also test earth leakage on RCDs rated at 300 mA, 30 A, and 300 A (Resolution 0.01 mA). The DCM300E is typically used to assess earth leakage current in circuits where the GFCI frequently trips out. The measured result will rapidly reveal whether the GFCI is malfunctioning or whether an excessive leakage current is causing it to trip. When monitoring changes, the DCM300E's analog style bargraph is highly helpful because it makes it easier for the operator to interpret the fast changing bargraph than the digital display.
