A highly advanced installation tester that can be used on single-phase and three-phase electrical installations, mobile generators, high- and low-frequency installations, machinery & switchboards, medical installations, electric vehicle charging stations, and much more is the Metrel MI3155 Eurotest XD Multifunction Tester. The Metrel MI3155's test features include: Testing for continuity Testing for earth resistance using three wires and two clamps ISFL, or initial fault leakage currents Testing of insulation monitoring equipment measuring insulation resistance testing of loops and lines (16Hz to 400Hz range) support for machine mode with time discharge test loop impedance evaluation of the short circuit current the three-wire PE test Phase sequence signal Evaluation of power and distortion (up to the 12th harmonic) Varistor testing RCD testing (general & selective, AC, A, F, B, B+, MI RCD, EV RCD, PRCD, PRCD-K, PRCD-S) Measurement of voltage (touch or contact with an external P/S probe) Advanced choices are available for the measuring functions of the Metrel MI3155. The loop impedance test feature includes two- and three-wire tests with a Trip Lock RCD feature, as well as four-wire testing on active transformers. RCD and impedance testing can also be conducted automatically. Meanwhile, continuity testing offers a 200mA test, a four-wire test, a 7mA test for PE conductors that does not trip RCDs, and more. The Metrel MI3155 has clear push buttons that can also be used to navigate and start tests, in addition to fuse tables and helpful information displays. Results can be stored in a sizable onboard memory and transmitted via Bluetooth to a computer or smart device in a clear, logical database. The Metrel MI3155 has Metrel ES Manager software, which is great for report preparation, analysis, and data transfers, as well as rechargeable batteries as standard equipment.
