The C.Scope MXT4 Datalogging Transmitter, designed to work alongside C.Scope MXL4 Cable Locators, excels at pinpointing and tracing various underground cables and pipes. Its versatility stems from a wide range of frequencies and a powerful output, enhanced by a useful datalogging feature. The MXT4 generates signals at five distinct frequencies: 131kHz, 33kHz, 8kHz, 640Hz, and 512Hz. The first two can be emitted concurrently, with 131kHz proving ideal for locating and tracing thin, short, or poorly-grounded cables. The 8kHz frequency is suited for longer or deeper pipes and cables, while the two ultra-low frequencies cater to specialized tracing applications. Energizing buried metal pipes or cables is achievable through wraparound, direct contact, or above-ground induction methods. A fully adjustable power output, reaching up to 1W, optimizes energizing longer, deeper cables, extending their traceable distance. A pulsed output is particularly beneficial in noisy environments. The MXT4's backlit digital display showcases recent activity thanks to its internal memory, which automatically logs all transmitter actions. A comprehensive log of this activity can be downloaded to a PC using the C.Scope PC Toolkit via a USB cable. The IP65-rated casing ensures the MXT4's weatherproof integrity, while an integrated accessory tray adds convenience. An automated daily self-test eliminates the need for regular calibration, and the manufacturer offers a reassuring three-year warranty.
