The Megger DET24C Earth Resistance Clamp Tester is an extremely advanced earth clamp metre that uses clamp technology to detect current flow and earth resistance. Megger has replaced the DET20C with the DET24 C, a new generation of earth/ground clamp-on resistance testers. In multi-ground setups, the Megger DET24C tests ground resistance by inducing a test current into earth systems without disconnecting the ground. With the ability to measure earth resistance in multiple loop installations without disconnecting the earth, the Megger earth resistance clamp metre is a helpful alternative to more conventional techniques of measuring earth resistance, which can call for additional stakes or disconnection. With the added convenience of a single point of measurement for earth resistance, this technique provides quick earth testing in complete safety.Additionally, this Megger earth clamp tester has a True RMS current measuring capability up to 35 Amps, which enables the measurement of earth currents and provides a helpful summary of the overall dynamics of the earth system as well as an indicator of potential measurement issues. The flat core ends of the new Megger DET24C are intended to provide enhanced long-term precision, measurement integrity, and reliability. The possibility of easily bent interlocking teeth, which are frequently encountered in earth resistance clamp metres, is eliminated, and they are simple to clean. An integrated filter feature provides improved resistance to noise. In tight spaces, the elliptical-shaped clamp design makes it easier to reach wires and earth straps. Flat earth tapes up to 50mm wide and cables with a maximum diameter of 37mm can both be clamped into place using this clamp head. This makes the earth resistance clamp tester perfect for use in towers, substations, and power plants. The DET 24C clamp tester is especially useful for determining the earth resistance of a variety of installations, including pylons, buildings, and radio transmitter locations. Additionally, lightning protection system examination and verification can be done using it. The Megger Power DB Lite download manager software, which comes with the clamp, is compatible with the Megger DET24C and offers the extra luxury of a USB download capability, enabling further data analysis and storage. The device offers programmable audio alerts and is small and sturdy. Included in a robust carry case are extra functions including data storage, calibration loop, self-calibration upon power up, and programmable auto shutdown.
