Testing EV Charge Points:- An improved model of the well-known Megger MFT1741, the Megger MFT1741+ Multifunction Tester can fully automatically test 6mA DC RCDs. This makes it the ideal all-in-one solution for testing low voltage electrical installations in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Additionally, the MFT1741+ tests EVSEs (electric vehicle charging stations) in accordance with the 18th Edition of the wiring regulations. Conviction Meter:- Both the Megger MFT1741 and MFT1741+ have enhanced loop testing technology, enabling for exceptionally precise anti-trip loop test measurements in situations where traditional high current loop testing is prohibited by RCDs. Both MFT1741 versions detect and correct for interference, resulting in consistently reliable measurements, where electrical noise and harmonics would often damage a loop impedance measurement (giving false test results). Additionally, the Megger MFT1741 and Megger MFT1741+ screens display a patented "Confidence Metre" above the loop impedance measurement. The indicator, represented by an ARC display, demonstrates the accuracy of the loop test measurement, reducing the need for repeat tests. Measurement of a loop test accurately:- It is typical to encounter high loop impedance readings during a loop test in a circuit protected by an RCD (the majority of circuits in household installations) due to resistance of the coil within the RCD. The RCD impedance's effects are eliminated by technology in the Megger MFT1741 and MFT1741+, resulting in an accurate measurement. Wide-ranging testing abilities:- A wide variety of tests can be run on both new and old electrical installations with the Megger MFT1741+. Continuity can be monitored for "dead testing" at 15 or 200 mA, and insulation resistance tests can be performed at 100, 250, 500, or 1 kV. The MFT1741+ can also perform stakeless and ART techniques of testing as well as earth resistance measurements. The MFT1741+ can safely and accurately perform 2 and 3 wire anti-trip loop tests during 'live' testing, showing the test's dependability on an ARC confidence metre. It can also measure the phase order in three phase systems and automatically test AC, A, S, and B type DC current/high frequency RCDs. All measurements are shown on a backlit LCD in both analogue and digital forms, and two color-coded rotary dials make it simple to choose a function. Results can be saved to the MF1741+'s internal memory for subsequent download using the 'Megger Download Manager' software application that is included. Users can use the software both online and offline, and it provides a secure software package for printing and keeping expert certificates and reports. The CertsuiteTM software automatically syncs data and test results to the cloud when used online. When work is done without an internet connection, data and test results can be added and uploaded after the connection has been restored. To assist cut down on downtime, site and customer information can be preloaded. Colleagues can access and submit data from the same project at the same time.
