Building on the excellent capabilities of the MFT1731, the Megger MFT1741 Multifunction Tester is the most sophisticated model in the MFT1701 line-up. It features improved loop testing gear that eliminates the impact of RCDs on loop impedance values as well as a new confidence metre that shows the accuracy of a reading. For certifying systems in line with BS7671 and Part P of the building rules, the tester, like other instruments in the MFT1701 family, is perfect for use on residential, commercial and industrial low voltage installations. The MFT1741's no-trip loop testing process is the quickest and most precise on the market, with loop impedance data available in only four seconds. Confidence metre with a patent:- Regular no-trip tests are subject to interference from noise and harmonics, thus the advanced three-wire no-trip loop impedance test on the Megger MFT1741 is very helpful when RCDs or RCBOs preclude the use of high current two-wire testing. After completing the initial loop test, the tester automatically recognises and corrects for such interference, providing stable, repeatable loop tests on noisy circuits. The Confidence Metre arc, which is displayed above the reading and tracks this compensation, contracts as the figure is changed. The final measurement is considered to be untrustworthy if the arc does not completely contract, whereas a complete contraction denotes excellent reliability. By indicating when a value is extremely dependable, the Megger MFT1741's Confidence Metre helps reduce the need for repeat measurements of earth loop impedance. The user can take actions to enhance the reading if the arc indicates a poor dependability level, such as avoiding RCDs or taking additional readings. Wide-ranging testing abilities:- The Megger MFT1741 performs a broad variety of tests for precisely evaluating new or repaired electrical installations, in addition to its increased loop impedance test and patent-pending confidence metre. Included in this list are two/three pole earth testing, continuity testing at 15 and 200 mA, insulation resistance testing at 100, 250, 500, and 1000 volts, RCD testing (ramp, manual, and automatic), real RMS voltage measurement, and testing for RCDs. Even ART and stake-less testing can be done with it, although other accessories are needed. This equipment can test B-type and three-phase RCS. The Megger MFT1741's backlit LCD display displays readings for all tests in both digital and analogue formats, and the two dials' clear labels make it simple to choose the right function. The MFT has simple controls and can save results in its internal memory, which can then be downloaded using the Megger Download Manager that comes with the instrument by default. The tester's wireless Bluetooth link is used to transfer data. Megger Powersuite Lite software, which is an option, can be used to handle results further. The Megger MFT1741 is robustly constructed and has an IP54 rating for protection against water and dust penetration. For increased convenience, it features test and lock buttons on both sides. It also comes with a number of standard accessories, such as test leads, probes, crocodile clips, a mains plug test lead, a remote rest probe, a calibration certificate, and a carry case. Ultimate Loop Test:- The sophisticated loop testing hardware of the Megger MFT1741, which counteracts the effects of RCD impedance uplift, is the device's second key novel feature. Due to resistance in some RCDs' coils, testing through them can frequently result in excessively high loop impedance readings, and standard MFTs cannot differentiate between the two. To avoid skewed readings caused by RCDs, the three-wire test function of the MFT1741 employs a range of test currents and measurement techniques. It has improved adaptability and accuracy because it is equally skilled at testing through 10mA devices as it is through 30mA devices and can even carry out no-trip tests through Type B RCDs. Electrical Certification Software Megger CertsuiteTM - Single User, 12 Month Licence 1009-986 is a Megger component number. A cloud-based system compatible with Android and iOS smart devices as well as a number of browsers (Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Firefox, Safari, and Opera) for use on laptops or desktop PCs, the Megger 1741 Multifunction Tester is compatible with the Megger CertsuiteTM Electrical Certification Software - Single User, 12 Month Licence. Users of CertsuiteTM are provided with a software licence that is completely compliant with and up to date with BS7671's most recent revisions. Users can use the software both online and offline, and it provides a secure software package for printing and keeping expert certificates and reports. The CertsuiteTM software automatically syncs data and test results to the cloud when used online. When work is done without an internet connection, data and test results can be added and uploaded after the connection has been restored. To assist cut down on downtime, site and customer information can be preloaded. Colleagues can access and submit data from the same project at the same time.
