Using the conventional rod approach, the Chauvin Arnoux CA6462 Earth and Resistivity Tester measures resistance (0 to 1999Ω) for earth electrode, ground resistivity, and coupling tests. The tester can be used for three- or four-wire testing, and test currents of 10 mA, 1 mA, or 0.1 mA are all possible. Four terminals with different colours make the equipment very simple to assemble, and a convenient captive bar allows the operator to choose between three- and four-wire testing. Measurement is made more accurate and dependable by automatic test current and range selection. The Chauvin Arnoux CA6462 features three flashing LEDs to alert users to testing issues such as excessive resistance, high environmental noise, and current circuit failure. The digital panel, which incorporates backlighting for usage in low light, presents readings in an easy-to-read manner. The IP53-rated plastic covering of the Chauvin Arnoux CA6462, which is resistant to dust and water infiltration, makes it extremely safe to use in the field. Moreover, situations that are hazardous or noisy and have problems like resistive auxiliary connections, excessive telluric current, or parasitic voltage do not interfere with functioning. The Chauvin Arnoux CA6462 may be used even when recharging because it has an integrated rechargeable battery and charging station. One charge is sufficient for 1180 measurements. The instrument comes with a carry case and a charger in addition to a 12-month guarantee.
