The FD550 Elite Fuse Finder is an improvement over the FD500 Standard Fuse Finder kit, and it comes with the Martindale FD650R Elite Receiver. It provides multi-level sensitivity, microprocessor controlled fuse and breaker identification. Even faster identification is possible with a six-segment bargraph, which provides a progressive indication of signal strength. A non-contact voltage detector is also included with the Elite receiver. The FD650R receiver can operate in two modes: Automatic, which can automatically change sensitivity and has a memory for perfect recognition. With the six section bargraph, fuse finding may be done extremely quickly in manual mode.
