Multiple static motor aspects can be tested with the Megger Baker MTR105 Rotating Machine Tester. The motor tester is appropriate for production testing of new motors and generators, testing of refurbished or repaired motors and generators, or in-field testing of motors and generators that are in operation due to its extensive range of test and measurement facilities. This has uses in a variety of industries, such as manufacturing, transportation, HVAC, motor maintenance, and utility companies. Advanced Motor Testing The Megger Baker MTR105 Motor Tester offers a variety of advanced tests. These consist of temperature compensation, dielectric absorption ratio, and polarization index measurement of insulation resistance from 100Ω to 200GΩ. There are test voltages available of 50V, 100V, 250V, 500V, and 1000V. Notably, a bi-directional DLRO four-wire Kelvin low resistance test function is also included for measuring resistance up to 10Ω with an accuracy of ±0.25% ± 10 digits and a resolution of 0.01mΩ.Bi-directional continuity testing (20mA or 200mA test current), capacitance (0.1nF to 1mF), three-phase AC/DC voltage measurement up to 1000V, phase rotation indication, motor rotation test, and inductance measurement (2mH to 1H) are among the additional measurement functions available on the Megger Baker MTR105. Temperature compensation is facilitated by an additional temperature measurement function that uses a type T thermocouple with a range of -20˚C to 200˚C (or up to 1000˚C with a type J or K thermocouple). Designed for Practicality The Megger MTR105 can be customized and operated with ease using a straightforward rotary dial and push-button interface. The vivid color screen, which can show both graphical and numerical representations, shows the readings. Up to 256 result sets with a time and date stamp can be stored in the motor tester's internal memory and downloaded to a PC via a USB connection. With its ample battery life, the Megger MTR105 can run 1200 insulation or continuity tests or a complete suite of tests on up to ten motors. The guard terminal stops surface leakage current, and the tester's protective design grants it an IP54 ingress protection rating. It is robust and comfortable because of the ABS housing and overmolded rubber case. Live circuit detection, which forbids risky testing, and user-adjustable lockout voltage put safety first. A hook strap, soft carry pouch, insulation resistance lead set, type T thermocouple, and Cat III 600V Kelvin lead set are included with the tester.
