Manufacturer: Megger

When testing electrical installations with operating voltages above 1000V and higher insulation resistance test voltages needed, the Megger MIT2500 Insulation and Continuity Tester is intended to be used. The Megger MIT2500 provides measurements up to 200GΩ with fixed test voltages of 50V, 100V, 250V, 500V, 1000V, and 2500V. It also has a variable mode that enables test voltages between 50V and 999V to be programmed in 1V steps and voltages between 1kV and 2.5kV to be programmed in 10V steps. The MIT2500 can also be used to carry out PI and DAR measurements as part of a preventative maintenance program. The feedback controlled insulation test voltage, like other more recent models in Megger's lineup, is accurate to +2% -0% as opposed to the original +20%, thereby offering an accurate test voltage and lowering the possibility of harming electrical or electronic components. Continuity measurements can be performed in the 0.01 to 1.0M Ω range. An auto null feature enables the zeroing of resistances up to 10Ω before testing. In addition, the Megger MIT2500 insulation tester can perform bi-directional continuity tests, which enable polarity reversal without requiring the test leads to be switched. Based on the test application, the continuity test current can also be set to 20 mA or 200 mA. The MIT2500, which has CAT IV 600V approval and is sealed to IP54, offers a weatherproof case that lowers the possibility of water infiltration, protecting the battery and fuse compartment. Rubber over-molding combines superior grip with an outer layer that absorbs shock. The MIT2500 is now very simple to pair with a Bluetooth-enabled device thanks to revised Bluetooth and pairing procedures. This makes it possible to download data in CSV format, which can be opened as an Excel spreadsheet.
