Manufacturer: Megger

In addition to building and industrial wiring checks, the Megger MIT410/2 Insulation Tester (1004-735) can be used for a wide range of testing applications, such as cable tests, motor checks, automotive diagnostics, panel building, avionics, and telecommunications testing, to mention a few. The Megger MIT410/2 will perform more specialized insulation measurements at 50V and 100V in addition to the industry standard 250V, 500V, and 1000V insulation resistance tests that provide measurements up to 200GΩ. It will also be able to perform diagnostic tests for polarisation index (PI) and dielectric absorption ratio (DAR). Continuity measurements can be performed in the 0.01 to 999kΩ range. An auto null feature enables the zeroing of resistances up to 10Ω before testing. In addition, the Megger MIT 410/2 insulation tester can perform bi-directional continuity tests, which enable polarity reversal without requiring the test leads to be switched. The live circuit detection feature, which prevents measurements from being made on live circuits and shields the instrument and user from potential risk, is available on all MIT4XX/2 models. With its IP54 sealing, the instrument's battery and fuse compartment are protected from water intrusion by a weatherproof casing. Rubber over-moulding combines superior grip with an outer layer that absorbs shock. Officially, the Megger MIT4XX/2 models take the place of the MIT400, MIT410, MIT420, and MIT430 special application insulation testers. The following are the new series' primary advantages: over voltage limit of 2% as opposed to the industry standard of 10–20%, which eventually lowers the possibility of circuit and component damage; Variable test range: between 10V and 1000V, a precise and stable test voltage can be chosen (MIT420/2 and MIT430/2 only). Redesigned carry case with separate access to user-serviceable fuses, back stand, and compartment for six cell batteries. includes an owners information CD, six AA batteries, a hard carry case, red and black silicone test leads (with probes and clips), an SP5 switch probe for remote testing, and an owners manual.

  • Insulation resistance test voltages of 50V, 100V, 250V, 500V, or 1000V with an over voltage limit of 2% DAR and PI testing
