Megger MIT400/2 CAT IV Insulation Resistance Tester

In addition to electrical and industrial uses, the Megger MIT400/2 Insulation Tester (1004-731) can be used for testing commercial avionics, military land, sea, and air communications, manufacturing production line testing, electrostatic measurements, component testing, and battery-powered traction/lifting equipment tests. The MIT400/2 can be used to measure insulation resistance at 250V, 500V, or 1000V. Its ranges can measure up to 200GΩ. Continuity measurements can be performed in the 0.01 to 999kΩ range. An auto null feature enables the zeroing of a resistance of up to 10Ω before testing. In order to prevent damage to the instrument, a live circuit detection prevents measurements of insulation resistance and continuity on powered circuits. Additionally, the instrument is IP54 ingress protected and has CAT IV 600V safety approval. The MIT400/2, which is housed in a rubber housing, is also shock-resistant and provides good hand-grip. Officially, the Megger MIT4XX/2 models take the place of the MIT400, MIT410, MIT420, and MIT430 special application insulation testers.
