With a measurement range of 0.1MΩ to 2000MΩ, the Fluke 1503 Insulation Tester is a useful and trustworthy insulation tester. The user has a choice between two test voltages of 500V and 1000V for measuring insulation resistance, and clear images of insulation and system performance are provided by earth bond resistance testing, continuity testing, and AC/DC voltage measurement up to 600V. A variety of add-ons enable the user to fully utilize the Fluke 1503's measurement features. Test leads, test probes, and crocodile clips are included with the product as standard. The integrated test button on the remote probe helps the user take repeated readings or attempt testing in inaccessible areas. The Fluke 1503's backlit LCD screen displays results, and its four AA batteries provide enough power for at least 1000 insulation tests. At only 550g, the device is lightweight and portable, making it suitable for use in both dimly lit areas and large areas. The large test button and straightforward dial interface make operation very simple. The outstanding safety credentials of the Fluke 1503 are a result of several factors. When a pre-existing voltage of more than 30V is detected, insulation testing is halted and the capactive voltage is automatically discharged to protect the user from dangerous voltage levels. Additional peace of mind is offered by the inputs' Cat IV rating up to 600V.
