High-performance 50V to 1kV digital insulation tester suitable for qualitative insulation analysis, the C.A.6543 Megohmmeter can withstand even the most severe site conditions. The Chauvin Arnoux CA 6543 megohmmeter is a microprocessor-controlled device with extremely sophisticated functions for measuring resistance, capacitance, AC/DC voltage, continuity at 200mA, and insulation up to 4TΩ. Furthermore, the CA6543 megohmmeter is equipped with an internal memory capacity of up to 1500 test results, which can be categorized according to the test and object (OBJ and TEST) for organized storage. The CA 6543 insulation tester can be used in conjunction with PC software to plot graphs, create spreadsheets, and set up on-site production of result data. It is also compatible with an optional printer. The dielectric absorption ratio (DAR) and polarisation index (PI), which are useful for evaluating the ageing and quality of insulation, can be automatically computed by the 6543 mega ohmmeter. Time-controlled testing is used by CA 6543 to provide a more comprehensive understanding of insulation quality. The CA6543 automatically samples and memorizes the injection values at a user-specified rate once a programmable time-controlled test has started. For situations where the measurement values are unstable, a smooth function is also offered. It is possible to store a high or low alarm threshold for each measurement function, which will be activated upon exceeding it.
