The C.A. 6541 megohmmeter is a microprocessor-controlled device with extremely sophisticated functions for measuring resistance, capacitance, AC/DC voltage, continuity at 200mA, and insulation up to 4TΩ. VThe dielectric absorption ratio (DAR) and polarisation index (PI), which are useful for evaluating the ageing and quality of insulation, can be automatically computed by the 6541 mega ohmmeter. Time-controlled testing is used by the CA 6541 HV insulation tester to provide a more comprehensive understanding of the insulation's quality. The CA6541 automatically samples and memorizes the injection values at a user-specified rate once a programmable time-controlled test has started. For situations where the measurement values are unstable, a smooth function is also offered. It is possible to store a high or low alarm threshold for each measurement function, which will be activated when it is surpassed.
