An effective instrument for evaluating the performance and security of electric vehicle (EV) charging stations is the Fluke 1663 Multifunction EVSE Test Kit with EV Charging Kit. The Fluke 1663 multifunction tester and the FEV300 EV charging station test adaptor kit are included in the kit. When coupled with the FEV300, the Fluke 1663 can conduct tests on RCD type B (smooth DC currents) VAR mode-compatible DC protection devices at EV charging stations. According to IEC 62955, this mode enables testing of RCD type A-EV or RCD-DD accs (6/60/200 mA and ram 2 to 6 mA ramp). The Fluke 1663 and FEV300 can rapidly and easily test 6mA DC monitors on charging points when used in tandem. Multifunction Tester Fluke 1663:- Voltage, current, resistance, continuity, and insulation resistance tests can all be carried out with the Fluke 1663, a flexible tester. Additionally, it has built-in capabilities for checking loop and line impedance as well as RCDs (residual current devices). Without making any adjustments to the connections, the Fluke 1663 enables users to measure voltage between L-N, L-PE, and N-PE. Ring continuity testing can also be done without the use of additional test leads by using merely soft keys. Z-max memory makes it simple for the user to locate the highest value in a circuit when performing loop testing. The Fluke 1663 is Cat III 500V rated for overvoltage and identifies unsafe earth voltages automatically, alerting the user to their presence. It also complies with all applicable national standards. Software by TruTestTM:- The Fluke TruTestTM software is compatible with the Fluke 1663 Multifunction EVSE Test Kit, offering a hassle-free data management and reporting solution. With the aid of the TruTestTM software, users may manage files, import test measurement data and results from test instruments, and, if necessary, manually enter data. Reports that are simple to understand can be prepared and distributed to clients and coworkers.
